Venezuelan born Architect Maritza Dominguez, a graduate of Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas, after several years of experience in other firms, established her own architectural office in Caracas in 1989; currently she is based in Paris, France. Over the last twenty years Maritza Dominguez Nelson Architects has created a wide variety of projects of diverse building types and uses. Ms. Dominguez programs, designs, builds and manages exterior and interior projects, both large and small, including residential complexes, hotels, corporate headquarters and private residences. Ms. Dominguez’s signature style is best appreciated in projects developed in the Caribbean, notably in El Morro Tourist Complex, Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, where her bold use of structural elements and open spaces interplaying with the abundant sunlight create bright and airy environments, notable for their incomparable esthetics and functionality.
